This media can’t differentiate between trolling and threats. Just like tRump ‘floating’ wildly illegal actions to test popularity and desensitize the public before just doing them regardless. I haven’t decided whether this is intentional misrepresentation and journalistic malpractice, or ignorance and incompetence (a different kind of malpractice), but I do know the outcome is the same either way.

I watched a movie from the 90s yesterday about civil war breaking out in America. There’s a scene where one newsanchor calmly tries to report on other news and the other newsanchor has an absolute meltdown telling him “fuck off, there is no other news”. Your first mistake is thinking someone has to do something for him to act the way he does. Even the rationalization for the illegal actions against Venezuela was contrived as a fig leaf to cover him just doing what he wants to for his own profit.
