This media can’t differentiate between trolling and threats. Just like tRump ‘floating’ wildly illegal actions to test popularity and desensitize the public before just doing them regardless. I haven’t decided whether this is intentional misrepresentation and journalistic malpractice, or ignorance and incompetence (a different kind of malpractice), but I do know the outcome is the same either way.

“Trolls”? Fuck off, seriously. He’s going to invade and bomb Greenland and what, are the headlines just going to read “Trump trolls Nuuk citizens”?

Is Trump going to invade and bomb Canada and we’ll get to see headlines the next day saying “Epic troll, Trump just flattened Ottawa”? Sorry, I guess “we” as in the rest of the world will see those headlines because I’d be dead

    Fuck

I watched a movie from the 90s yesterday about civil war breaking out in America. There’s a scene where one newsanchor calmly tries to report on other news and the other newsanchor has an absolute meltdown telling him “fuck off, there is no other news”. I wanna see a reporter melt down like on air in real life. I wanna see the insanity be properly acknowledged

Turns out that the movie Don’t Look Up may have been intended to satirize our response to climate change, but the portrayal of the media response is evergreen.

Yeah, I’m generally used to American media doing that by now but this headline is just so absurdly dismissive of non-American lives that it’s infuriating

I wouldn’t use the word ‘troll’, maybe ‘mask off’.

Edit: u/shittydwarf had “Threatens”, definitely a better word.

Yeah troll is something that does not apply to a US president, even if they are mentally challenged and have the brainpower of a 8 year old spoiled child.

He’s not doing this. Someone’s feeding it to him.

Congress and Senate is virtually silent on the issues. This isn’t just Trump; this is representative of the USA.

That is what concerns me the most. There should be so much opposition to crap like this. Like he shouldn’t even be able to just show that, this goes through so many people beforehand.

Edit: sorry, just realised he posted it on Truth Social so he probably did this himself and maybe didn’t show anyone, but who are we kidding, he probably bragged about it in several meetings beforehand.

There’s no way he’s opening photoshop and layering the US flag over those countries himself. Maybe he asked someone to do it or he was feed the photo and he passed it by.

If only, miller himself is a puppet. There are very rich people behind all of what the party is doing. This is all a half century long game, pioneered in it’s first iteration in the business roundtable in like 1971.

Depressingly, the minds that matter in this case are those of the portion of the US electorate who voted for him.

I promise that voting block is more likely to be appalled by verified sexually abuse of minors, than they would be of military/colonial activities.

Doing what he is doing keeps the MAGA faithful focused on their fondness for violent nationalistic xenophobia and distracted from their pearl clutching puritanical offense at sexual offenses.

The people who voted for him will believe anything he says. They are stupid enough to have voted for that deranged idiot. If he tells them it’s all fake news, they’ll believe it. Also, by the way things are going, they won’t get to vote again anyway.

Jokes aside, but what have Greenland and Canada even done to him so that he wants to invade them? I got the Venezuela reasons, but is this really again because of the oil reserves?

Your first mistake is thinking someone has to do something for him to act the way he does. Even the rationalization for the illegal actions against Venezuela was contrived as a fig leaf to cover him just doing what he wants to for his own profit. The reason is there’s profit to extort for him and his oligarchy buddies, but they’ll come up with 20 justifications after the fact just to make you feel consoled.

Correct. Unfortunately the groups that typically would invest real assets in assassination are the ones with all the money, and one thing he’s not doing is threatening their power and profits in a meaningful way. He desperately wants to be one of the gangster oligarchs, and would never cross them cause he is cucked to their opulence (see: Putin). People talk about blackmail material controlling his actions, and I’m sure there is that too, but I’m just as sure they don’t need it. No, real preemptive assassination attempts tend to target socialists and equalists and those who stand a real chance at elevating the disenfranchised and bridging the gap in the class war. Can’t have that. Mind you, assassination after the damage has already been inflicted is not unheard of, like Mussolini, but that’s more of a vengeful act and pyrrhic victory cause it’s too damn late. Anyway, happy Tuesday!

I’m inclined to believe that it’s because you can simply bribe him to change his mind. He’s a convenient idiot puppet with power and you can tug on any string to get him to do things you want him to. It’s probably why TACO. There’s probably a bribery match going on in the background.

It he was a zealot of his beliefs, rigid in his thinking, I believe he would be put down. But he’s so malleable, so it’s more useful to people that have the option to assassinate to bribe instead.
