Greece is blocking it because there’s a Greek shipping company that specializes in transporting Russian LNG and evidently they’re looking for some sort of exception/carveout. Which, imo, is categorical bullshit, and the company should have diversified and shifted towards different suppliers at some point in the last four fucking years.
Time to dig into the political donations that relevant Greek politicians have received, I guess.

“But here’s the thing: there is a Kentucky constitutional provision that says that I appoint all state officers when there’s a vacancy,” he added. “The question is, does that apply to federal offices? Well, before there was ever a law in Kentucky on how this would work, multiple appointments were made by governors, assumably under that provision.”
TL;DR this isn’t even a “nuclear option”. It’s just “the option that was SOP for a long fucking time”. It’s only in contention now because the fascists want to be the only ones who are allowed to use said SOP, and don’t want their political opponents to have any agency whatsoever.

Side note: Mamdani did a special appearance on Ms Rachel’s show? That’s actually kinda awesome!

I’ll believe swing voters actually exist when they make a positive difference in an election.
Uninformed, lazy voters are not the same thing.

Wow, good job Rutte, you’re successfully undermining the entire point of NATO 🤦♂️

Your dogmatic faith in the veracity of Russian state media sure is… something.

Cite your sources.
But you can’t, because that is not a real thing that happened, and the only sources pushing that are well-known Russian outlets known to be affiliated with the government, which have an established precedent of pushing Russian government propaganda.

Oooh, a nonsensical ad hominem attack. Daring today, aren’t we?

Honestly, it’s disingenuous and untrue to pretend that the orange regime and orangeboi are maintaining the status quo ante. They’re demonstrably not. That’s not me defending the US or its foreign policy and history thereof (especially in the Cold War) - I’m just saying that being reductively naive about these things meaningfully understates how fucking idiotic and destructive the regime is in so, so many dimensions.

Tfw literally nobody considers your threats credible 😛

Because government moves at the speed of government

Tony Blair needs to fuck all the way off

The difference is that Starobelsk was pretty much definitely an unintentional target discrimination failure, whereas Russia has a policy of striking civilian targets to try to induce panic and terror in the Ukrainian population.

There’s one country in the Ukraine war that is intentionally targeting civilian and cultural targets, and it’s not Ukraine or any of its allies.

I would imagine that you could set up some sort of insulated battery and/or capacitor setup that could be used to melt off any accumulated snow and ice once a storm passes with some heating elements embedded in the photovoltaics. Though, that probably introduces the issue of falling frozen debris striking panels lower down on the dam. Nonetheless, given the efficiency gains, it’s probably a problem worth solving - especially since this Swiss proof-of-concept seems to be working out so well.
Man, legacy media sure is doing some incredible gymnastics to avoid using the terms “concentration camp” and “ethnic cleansing”.
