Niels Bohr famously dissolved the medal he got for his Nobel Price for chemistry in acid when the Nazis invaded his home country of Denmark, to prevent it from falling into the Nazis’ hands.
Unlike him, the most recent recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize of all things, who shall not be named here, because she doesn’t deserve being named, handed her medal to a deranged megalomaniac and fascist wannabe dictator.
Unfortunately this isn’t a new thing. Knut Hamsun, winner of the 1920 Nobel Prize in Literature, infamously gave his medal to Joseph Goebbels in 1943.
I guess there is a reason why he isn’t so well known these days.

Great writer! Not so great person. He’s very well known in Norway and considered seminal in Norwegian literature despite his less than fortunate political views.

Nothing in the motivation for the peace prize says you can’t start a war before making peace! This might be Trumps grand strategy. Imagine being the one who brokers peace in a war between NATO states. That’s a guaranteed winner
