RealID is insufficient to confirm citizenship, yet a facial recognition app that is known to make errors is “definitive”? Sounds like racist bullshit to me.

Basically ICE’s digital colour pantone. It sure does make their job at being racist easier.
Anyone that’s ever looked into Google Photo’s “auto tag” feature knows that facial recognition is not 100% accurate. Google has done it the longest, with the largest dataset and the most processing power, and it is still 90% accurate, at best.
I know the ICE are modern time stasi psykos, but the problem of definitively identifying a person is actually fairly difficult when you trust nothing from the person themselves.
If you have a person in custody and you don’t trust what they say is true, you don’t trust the documents they have are authentic…how do you then determine who they actually are?
