It runs a tiny RTOS called eCos. Just does backup cam, AM/FM, Bluetooth, and USB sticks (as long as the media is WAV or MP3)

My only complaint is that it sorts media files on USB sticks by timestamp rather than alphabetically

My 2018 Honda Civic doesn’t have a touchscreen, all knobs and buttons, and the only safety features are things like airbags/traction control/ABS

The reason I don’t recommend it by default is that there is no updater across releases.

The official upgrade process is to modify apt sources files and run upgrade, then full-upgrade, etc.

That’s fine for me but it makes it hard to recommend to people who may not be as willing to deal with modifying system files and reading some upgrade notes

My only problems with the Framework 13 are:

• the 3:2 aspect ratio is really nice on the host, but getting VMs to display correctly is hard
• The magnetic bezel is too much fun to play with. I grab at it while thinking, and have broken the plastic from taking it off and on thousands of times
• The interchangeable USB ports don’t lock well on the 13. If the HDMI cable is tight, I pull the whole adapter out. (I believe they changed the locking mechanism on the 16)
• The hinges for the display aren’t that strong, even the new ones. They’re acceptable, but moving the laptop w/ it at certain angles, it will fall open to 180°

It’s still my favorite laptop I’ve owned

Osmand~ and CoMaps (fork of Organic Maps) use the same map data, but different rendering/routing engines.

Osmand~ is everything and the kitchen sink. Any feature you can think of, it probably has

CoMaps is just the basics for 85% of people. It’s much simpler, its map drawing is much faster (no lag while waiting for tiles/branches/labels like Osmand), and much faster on-device routing than Osmand.

Especially since it says 11 production lines…
