No one actually wonders this, they’d know that it’s rape even if they pay. I’m not a professor of criminal psychology, but my understanding is that even psychopaths/sociopaths aren’t stuck waffling on the semantics of stuff like this, the hyperbolic debate is for show - they know it’s wrong even if they do mental gymnastics to justify it.

I can still remember years ago when the prototype ‘smart glasses’ (see image below), or whatever they were called, were new. Some fucker tried to pull off a demo in a small community pub, but someone noticed his gigantic weird frames and caught on. MFer got bum-rushed out the front door under threat of a serious ass-kicking, and anyone who’s seen a crowd of pub regulars work someone over knows what I mean.
