Good! Not sure how that’s relevant, but good!

I’m really sorry to do this, but 25 years ago was 2001.
Now that the painful part is out of the way, 32-bit software from 2001 should work in Windows 11.
That’s pretty much what I mean.
This post is insinuating that a number of the people upset now should have been upset when it wasn’t white people dying.
And I agree. Many of us were already upset.
But making that point this way is unhelpful. It feels like potentially a way to divide those who are trying to resist. “I was angry before it was mainstream, you new protesters are racists.”
Which could very well not be the intention of the person making the point. They could be trying to simply say, “Understand that people had already been killed, and if you knew that and weren’t angry, be better” or something.
But it is so incredibly easy to make people in big tents infight and focus on idealogical purity rather than uniting to fight the opposition. And it’s something we need to avoid if we want to be successful.
When it comes to fighting fascism, my enemy’s enemy is my friend.
So on the assumption that this comic was posted in good faith, I think merciful correction or gentle disagreement is more useful.
Yep.
People should’ve already been angry. But better late than never.

155·4 days agoWow, what happened to OnePlus? They used to be so cool. Hell, the first one ran Cyanogen.
Yep! Never stop trying. I’m like 75% on the horse again, sloooooowly losing weight this time.
Check out the article cRazi_man linked.
Our brains have a lot less control than we like to think, unfortunately. And the reasons weight loss is difficult are numerous. It’s not dissimilar to addiction, in that overcoming it can be easy for some people but incredibly difficult for others. And unfortunately those for whom it is easy don’t realize how good they have it.
I’ve got one set up as a screen for a 3D printer. Printed a mount for it, ran a USB-C cable to the mount, and have it locked on the printer’s app.
Yep. Intermittent fasting is easy but all weight loss is hard. I lost like 40 pounds in less than a year, and then my body rebelled and beat up my brain with a shotgun. Gained it all back over the next two years.

1·8 days agoYeah, the advertising stuff always bothers me. NordVPN is not unique in that sin, but it’s still a sin. Since I know why I want a VPN that misrepresentation doesn’t affect me. I sought them out, not the other way around. But if they want to build a large audience of people who don’t, like, pirate content or use public WiFi or want the Meshnet, they have to come up with bullshit to scare them with.
I’ll check out your link, thank you!
2006 was defiantly had them
In defiance of whom? 😉

Genuine question, how is NordVPN complete garbage?
I did some research before re-upping, and they consistently test well. They don’t keep logs. Meshnet is awesome.
As far as I can tell the worst thing they do is lie about how a VPN makes using the internet “safer” which probably isn’t true for most use cases. But all of the VPN companies do that, it seems.

“Should” does a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. 🤣
