Mine is Hearthstone. Been playing it since it launched some 11 or 12 years ago, I think. The last year or two is probably the least I’ve played it, as I was starting to get bored, but I still pop in and play a few hands now and then.

I’m going to be honest with you. You don’t do anything. If you don’t like the AI lab, don’t use the AI lab.

Not that don’t appreciate you, I believe they do, but let’s be honest, you’ll be gone in 3 years tops. That AI lab is going to draw in New students until nobody cares anymore and they water money on the next lab.

You can raise a fuss about it, but it’s not going to change anything, they already paid for it, so it would REALLY be a waste to tear it out.

This is not defending AI, it’s just college politics.

My jams are 90s & 00s Alternative & Hard Rock, but I’ve been listening to a lot of classical and video game soundtrack music at work. Been playing Vampire Survivors lately and the OST is bangin!

Beats me. I just turned 44 and I typically spend my weekends smoking weed and playing Xbox. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You’re mostly right. Facebook bought Oculus in 2014, but kept the Oculus branding until they renamed the company Meta in 2021, THEN it became the Meta Quest 2 and required a Facebook/Meta login.

This is exactly what I meant. Sure, you can get on a plane to anywhere, but deciding where to go, leaving everyone you know, finding a home and a job and starting the paperwork for citizenship is a lot more complex than just showing up and calling it home.

I bought a Quest 2 before Meta took over the company, and have recently started using it again after letting it collect dust for a while.

I totally understand not wanting to sign up for a Zuckerberg product, but the Quest is probably one of the easiest VR setups. Just log in and go. No wires connecting you to a computer or worrying about whether or not your setup can handle the games you’re trying to run.

I’ve heard the Quest 3 is much better than the 2, but I have no experience with the 3.

Again, Meta deserves whatever hate they get, but I have to admit the Quest environment is nice and easy to work with.

People may have strong negative opinions of Russia, but I don’t think most people attach that to the people of Russia. If you left, that would mean that you do not agree with how Russia is being run, which would put you on the same side as those who aren’t fans of Russia.

That being said, it’s a whole lot more difficult to leave the country than most people would have you believe. There’s a good chance that the US is going to become more like Russia, and I don’t like it, but I don’t see any possible way that I could leave if it does.

I explain things to my kids so they know WHY we are doing them. If they have an idea as to why we should be doing it differently, like give me 10 more minutes first, or I like it this way, then I listen, consider a compromise, if at all possible.

For example, if it’s time for bed, but they’re in the middle of a fortnite match, then I let them finish it. If it’s time for school, and they just started a match, sorry, turn it off, you knew we had to leave soon.

They couldn’t possibly develop cutting edge technology if they weren’t doing any research.

Sure we can laugh about Windows and Office being cutting edge, but they were at one point, and that’s why they still make bank by getting it on 80% of all computers (I’m guessing, don’t hold me to that number)

If the boss wanted everyone lunching at once, I assume that’s probably when they would take their own lunch, so they would have just closed the office for that hour.

I was expecting you to say you lost it during a handshake and it was stuck to the interviewer’s hand!
