Reminds me of the story where a woman and her dog lived with a squatter in the attic. They would come down while she was at work and eventually was friendly with the dog. Woman never suspected anything since the dog never made a big deal about the person in the ceiling. She eventually found out when the person came down one day when assuming she was out of the house.
