I keep getting made fun of by my smoking friend for how I hold them. It just feels more comfortable to hold them between your index and middle fingers like a cigarette rather than pinching it with your index and thumb. And it seems easier to control how much air reaches your mouth when you’re drawing.

dartcig. rolled old school, index/thumbmakes sense if you handrolling, you would keep finger and thumb that rolled them together, If ya let off it’s gonna spring open.

I use a vaporizer and I don’t care how you hold your joint. Just don’t let it fall to the ground, don’t burn yourself and you are good.
Lol you can usually tell what people smoked first on how they hold a cig or joint.
I think the reason why most use index/thumb for joints is from manually rolling them vs cigs where there’s a filter and such, as it keeps it together better/prevents scooby snacks.
In between my fingers but with my hand in a ball and the joint resting on my fingers. Its gremliny but comfortable. Its similar to how the guy smokes in tarkovsy’s stalker movie smokes (just watched it last night)
