Glad you were covered to get back on your feet.
That all sounds quite complex to navigate. Crazy with all the tech and resources that we have available now and these are the systems that were designed.

Having such a reactionary approach is counterproductive, I agree. I know people for who psychiatric care is not optional, they’re doing fine on the right meds though that requires monthly follow ups. That would cost a fortune! Also not covering physical rehabilitation is confusing as it’s pretty much needed after surgery, how are people supposed to regain as much function as possible?
Our health insurance here costs $600 per person per month but then it covers specialists with a $40 copay, includes vision and dental. Basically if you can afford private insurance it’s manageable but that’s a horrible way to design the system since you often loose your insurance if you change jobs.
I miss the French system, it’s not perfect but it was more affordable and teeth were not considered optional. The main inconvenience that I remember were the wait times so you just have to be organized for your routine care and it’s no problem.

Sorry to hear that. I didn’t realize the Australian healthcare system was as bad as the one in the USA. $500 to see a specialist is not ok, especially not for psychiatry when the medical support is literally life changing.

40kg of hash isn’t really world changing. What a nice boring news cycle that this is what is popping up.

Ok lol. Post history has changed quite a bit in volume recently unless I’m completely misremembering and I don’t think I am.
It got me too. I don’t know how to react other than to laugh because it’s just that far out there.

The mental gymnastics behind this one… The carbon footprint is associated with using the plane, not making it duh! What on earth are we doing?

Many thanks.

Thanks for the info.

Yes, I was hoping for more information than radio glitch…

Was there any information as to what happened?

Dunno that was my first thought too. Not saying definitely, just that it sounds like the kind of disruptive actions they like to take.

If only the full text were in comments… we can wish. Maybe OP will be benevolent.

Thank you for a little background. The story keeps going through the news cycle and I was unclear on what the fundamental problem was.

I’m confused, the US sold drugs to Germany at a certain price point and now is investigating underpayment? Unless they didn’t pay what was agreed this statement makes no sense.
Sorry if it bothers you. I’m finding it comforting to get some context on Reddit’s practices though. It feels like closure since I recently deleted my account after getting shadow banned. Hope you have a nice day.
What’s their end goal though? It’s just going to be bots arguing with each other if they keep it up. I feel comforted seeing other similar experiences here, I’m in good company it seems.

This breaks my heart. Condolences to her family and friends.
Can we add dog barking? I used to have a dog that would get so triggered by it. Really unnecessary. I’ve been joking with my husband that it would be nice if shows had an audio track like they do for different languages but just change the sound mixing and remove the common irritants.
