How else are they going to pay for server upkeep to store everything it hears?

Oh holy hell you’re right. I tapped the wrong link and just ended up on a page with a summary not the actual article. I’m becoming an old man. :(

What are the specific accusations? What “disregard for human life” are they talking about? Jobs and financial livelihood? Data center construction? Governments using AI for military practices? Who’s actually died?
I mean, I dislike AI as much as anyone else, but I don’t understand how this will stick in court. Are they just throwing everything at it to see what sticks? If it all gets ruled down, I can’t imagine that being a good thing.

It’s easy. Just go into horizon worlds and look around.

Oh bro your laptop was open, I closed it so it wouldn’t eat up all your battery.

I don’t think the point the person you replied to was making had much to do with the artificial intelligence being an artificial super intelligence.

Honestly I don’t think the cocaine or ketamine ever made much of a difference in terms of coherency.

As opposed to…?

He’s gotta bring his CEO buddies because some of them know how to make their words work and actually have experience making successful negotiations.

The concern is whether greener batteries means shorter batteries. If they can last at least nearly as long as standard batteries, I’d say go for it. If not, my concern is that we’re just generating more waste and raising costs.

Don’t want to compete with a potentially capable Linux? Pay the government to make it illegal!

It’s like they’re so corporate-plagued over there that the extent of their innovation is to buy other companies, rebrand things, and sell subscriptions to stuff. Microsoft HQ is like Dunder Mifflin of the 2020s

I f*cking called it, almost. I expected Elon to be the first megalomaniac to do this shit, but Zuck was the obvious other option. These oligarchs see themselves as pharaohs with their own version of immortality. We’ll be dead and gone and our great grandchildren will still be putting up with their bullshit.

Would it apply to politics?
That’s a really important question to ask, because anything can be made into politics.

I never said the left is immune to disinformation, just that a 5 year plan would likely land its fruition under a democratic president, which automatically makes it a bad thing from a republican perspective. Even though the process begins under Trump. It’s a nice setup for another round of anti-left propaganda when the timing is perfect for it, don’t you think?

5 year plan. It’ll happen under a democrat president and the right will be screaming bloody murder that their right to misinform free speech is being encroached, and build a their political platform on it.

I’ve heard that the “smart” feature services actually help subsidize the overall cost of the TV, but if that’s true, I doubt any of those savings are being passed to the consumer.
What a conning linguist!
I added the three cats from the last panel as stickers on my iPhone.
Oh good to know. I guess we’ll just have to stick with the alternative. Do nothing and watch it happen anyway.
