There are some things that should never be for profit and at the top of that list health and wellness care.

Like having a working healthcare system is some kind of hardcore communist feat instead of something many countries have figured out.

Arguably the prices of healthcare are what they are because of the legal institution of insurance and the system of middlemen involved, so it’s not really an example of free markets, but I’ll show myself and my logic outta here ok peace

Free market retoric is used to uphold the current system as is. Which is more-so a weird type of socialism but only for bailing out the elite. If we had real free markets then we’d just let failing business fail

That’s one issue, but there’s also the more general issue that healthcare can never be a truly free market - you cannot just decide not to get that lifesaving operation, and often your choice on with which doctor to get it is heavily limited as well.

It is idiotic to think a free market ideology could ever work in an inherently non-free market.

Yeah I agree & don’t have a solution. I’ve also lived under fully socialized healthcare, and that’s quite problematic as well for various reasons including wait times & quality of care / options

its also technically a scam, using someone elses money to pay for your medical services(most of the time, or some of the time, or not all)

Hes part of the rich class, he has no concept of having to pay large sums to healthcare where it affects him financially. thats why hes considered “resistance” grifter.

Engels, dude. Having money doesn’t make you a grifter. If he wanted to be a grifter, the right has plenty of space and patsies available. He spreads the message and is consistent in that. What the hell you want from him? To take a pointless vow of poverty or something?

Tangentially, I find it hilarious how Engel’s dad sent him to Manchester to oversee some of the family’s textile business there, in hopes that it would straighten out the growing radicalism in his son. Lol, no — it just radicalised him further. And that’s why Manchester has a statue of Engels

Luigi* was from a rich family too.

Fucked up healthcare can radicalize the bourgeoisie too.

*Unless he is innocent, of course :)
