Me watching the peruvian ultraleftist who proudly showed a pic proving he voted for “Tung Tung Lenin” last week, not realizing he might end up being the reason his family and him will get disappeared in a fujimorist labor camp in a few months.
Including the making of featurette so that you too can learn to draw as poorly as I do.
Of course, canon Jesus reply would be “but we’re brown ourselves though?”
The upside of tech is they pay way too much, especially once you become an exec. Set aside enough money that I can live off my reserves, been designing board games, doing art commissions, and selling books and t-shirts since 2020. None of those earn me much, it’s a lot of work for barely any income, and I’ve had to downscale my lifestyle, but it’s much healthier this way. Zero regrets.
Similar story to most of the other people I worked with 10 years ago, and the tech world wonders why they have a hard time finding senior employees these days…
I can’t count how many times I had to explain this exact analogy to a sales person I felt like I was losing my mind sometimes.
I don’t miss working in tech, 15 years of my life was enough.
Well the necessity for moderation came from neither spam nor flood, it came from one user (beep) who kept posting comics without attribution and harassed artists who left a signature on their work.
There was also that user who kept posting a particularly transphobic/hateful comic strip (Jago), at least it kept getting ratio’d by the community but it didn’t do much to make the place feel welcoming.
Mods were needed to deal with both. And they did, which is good.
Worth mentioning that the new mods told me I’m not welcome in this community anymore due to my content being “rage bait” in their mind, while FelixCress can continue getting ratioed posting “vegan bad”, “woman bad”, “cyclist bad” and other actual boomer ragebait daily without consequences, as long as they do it politely.
To think I was happy when we finally got mods.

7·1 month agoI’ll keep that one in mind, next time someone criticizes my anatomy I’ll tell them “son, it has character”.
Actually I need to repeat that bit to myself until I am convinced. Feels like a healthy mantra.

27·1 month agoAIs have become decent at anatomy these days, haven’t they?
That’s one job they won’t take from us in the long term, finding new ways to mess up drawings. I’m always a step ahead.

1051·1 month agoApologies to all the foot fetishists, I eventually gave up trying and thus have failed you.
Guess I have new anatomy lessons to grind. Shit’s hard yo.

Who came up with hands? Why can’t we have claws or hooves instead that would be so much simpler 😩

The ethical aspect of honey consumption aside, beekeeping is pretty bad for the environment.
Honeybees are an invasive species in many places. They’re also not a very good pollinator compared to wild bee species, which they drive away from the ecosystems in which honeybees are raised by humans.
Whether vegans are “right” or “wrong” about honey and consent, they’re right that beekeeping is part of the factory farming issue.
Sources to back my claims:
Why are you so obsessed with vegans? Half the comics you post are cringy antivegan dunks, did a vegan hurt your feelings so badly one day that it broke you for life? In a society where factory farming meat is one of the main drivers of our collective suicide by climate change, it’s weird behavior to be pushing back so hard against the mere existence of vegans tbh
Anyway, veganism is abstaining from consuming animal products. Bacteria are not animals, therefore antibiotics are not a contradiction.
Extending non consumption to most plants, bacteria, etc. is done by some jains, but it’s not veganism.

Industrialists want you to eat more meat, not less.
That’s why they’d rather talk about other climate change related topics, paper straws and AC and whatnot.
