I just learned about the difference between psyllium and dextrin, and think I’ll stick with psyllium due to its insulin modulation and LDL-reducing properties. Both will give you great poops though

What do you use? I use psyllium husk and it’s gritty

I was able to stop sodas a number of years ago, and now the thought of drinking one makes me nauseous. A helpful crutch are those Ciao San Pellegrino’s, they have a tiny bit of sugar that makes them immensely more satisfying than other flavored sparkling waters. I keep my fridge stocked with the cherry and blood orange

I also do fiber every morning, but I don’t know if I’d ruin my coffee with it. I mix it up in a tiny glass with water and basically shoot it so I can enjoy the taste of everything else

First off, if you make a change to a higher fiber diet, you’re likely to have increased flatulence while your gut microbiota acclimates. Second, there are different fiber sources that each person may respond differently to. Personally, some legumes will make me gassy no matter how I cook them, but when I throw a serving of psyllium husk in whatever I’m eating, I have no problem.

No, the Texas Revolution and the Civil War were really different

The argument about which is more immoral, murdering or enslaving, is certainly more nuanced than you’re making it out to be.

While slavery was definitely one contributing factor to the Texas Revolution, it wasn’t the primary reason for the revolution, like it was for the US South in the Civil War. The Texas Revolution only kicked off after Santa Anna dissolved the Mexican Legislature, ended the Mexican Constitution, and created a centralized Catholic government. 15 Mexican states rebelled at the same time in response, “Alta California, Nuevo México, Tabasco, Sonora, Coahuila y Tejas, San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Durango, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Yucatán, Jalisco, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, and Zacatecas.”
Santa Anna led the army to brutally repress each rebellion. Texas was the only rebellion to succeed, largely due to having more people than the other states and supply lines to the US.
Santa Anna’s pattern of indiscriminate executions of hundreds of people at a time definitely contributed to the veracity with which Texans fought. Santa Anna was responsible for the slaughter of thousands of people across Mexico, including many indigenous people, and by the end, he appointed himself dictator for life and made everyone call him “His Most Serene Highness.”

Santa Anna was a total dick

While there is 100% an element of sexism here, I also think there’s an element of these specific people having first names that are more specific identifiers. If you say Clinton, you may not effectively convey which one without more context, and Harris is a very common last name, whereas Trump, Biden, and Obama are very unique names.
People have never hesitated to say Pelosi, Klobuchar, or Slotkin, for example.

Yeah mine is oatmeal with walnuts, honey, coconut, and a bit of cocoa powder with a scoop of cottage cheese. Classic American breakfast 😂

When you say “American breakfast,” we do have that sometimes, but what it actually consists of and the quality (e.g. type of bacon or sausage, how the eggs are cooked) varies widely. Where I live, breakfast tacos are much more common than the stereotypical American breakfast though

Here in the US, we learned quite a bit about the UK & USSR’s roles in WWII in school, also, but granted this was back in the 90s. We learned nothing about that other country

Trump’s attacks on the Pope plus that picture of him as Jesus really seemed to touch a nerve among some of their die-hard supporters in a way we don’t typically see. They’re really going to keep going after the Pope?

But Orban and the Fidesz party had a stranglehold on Hungarian media, which is what we’re talking about:
Fidesz, the ruling party, directly or indirectly controls about 80 percent of the entire media market. The government has systematically obstructed the few remaining independent media outlets, placing their continued existence in grave jeopardy.

Then why did you ask that question

This has been headline news all over the world for the last 24 hours. Go read your news source of choice and quit yer bitchin

This argument falls flat on its face when you apply it to what just happened in Hungary
While it’s got its faults, I’m a Pandora guy and find it vastly superior to Spotify, particularly when trying to find new music
This has to be a euphemism for something sexual
