I still see FP4 in the Fairphone store on Amazon, so can’t be to bad. Is like 200€ while the new one is north of 600€ (don’t remember the exact price). But yeah, looking into the used market might make sense. Ty

I’m using a stick FP 4 and am really happy about it, I just try to lock down the android bloat from time to time. My wife has a murena Teracube. After changing the launcher, she is really happy with the software, but the hardware is hot garbage, so she plans to get a new one soon.

Our idea was the FP4, because I have good experiences with it, you still get spare parts and it’s comparable cheap.

Do you know whether there was anywhere a bit jump in performance from FP4 to 5?

Due to bazzite,I checked out fedora silver blue for my work laptop. So far I’m happy.

I used to have Ubuntu everywhere, then changed to Debian for servers. Now that I’m using bazzite for my gaming rig, I really liked the idea and went to fedora silver blue on my work laptop. I’m the near future I want to re do my home lab, bit not sure yet what, unfortunately to many open questions concerning storage left.

I meant to ask already: what is the actual technical difference between mqtt and ntfy? For me it feels pretty similar technique, just one is used for push service and the other not. So it feels like reinventing the wheel. Maybe somebody here can enlighten me?

Hmmm, I’m hosting my matrix server for years with federation and never had this problem. The only spam I get is via the telegram bridge. Maybe it’s a problem for bigger instances?! On mine are only ppl I have immediate contact with.

Flex luncher is also the best I found so far. Only used it with openbox, so I was lacking the kdeconnect part, which sounds nice. I tried plasma-bigscreen, but that really didn’t agree with me. I’m wondering why there is so little choice in this segment, as it feels like htpcs are a thing much longer than self hosting
