  • He doesn’t need a war to commit insider trading

No, but the absolutely insane and perfectly predictable swings in market prices, over and over and over, each one capable of eating hundreds of billions of dollars, can’t be done as easily any other way. Those are very specific asks. He already did all the “low level” hundreds of millions stuff. This is bigger.

It’s also not only about the money.

This war is extremely damaging to the vast majority of the economy, and keeping the economy going is the only way he maintains power while in the office.

This is where you are way off. His goal is enrichment. The people who put him there have the goal of destruction of the American government. This achieves both.

He specifically maintains power by destroying the ability of the American system to function. That’s what his cronies want. Eventually he will obliterate the economy too.

He has been destroying the foundations so that when the final blow lands, it’s a KO. Again this is not his plan, this is the plan he agreed to, thought up by actually smart groups of people, who needed his one-domain skills to help them enact it.

You are giving him a lot more credit than he deserves, and feeding the idea that he’s some sort of Machiavellian character, when in reality he’s just an oaf scrambling from one scheme to another.

No, I’m not. You are. I am and always have been claiming that he is an excellent con man. He is a goddamn idiot savant. If I say “that guy is a really good football player” no one assumes I’m calling him a multi-domain genius. But somehow every time I point to trump’s very obvious history of successful cons, and the fact that he’s doing the exact same, beat for beat thing he always does, the One Fucking Thing he is good at, in the entirety of his life, One Thing, everyone builds a strawman of me calling him a genius. So they can tear it down.

Many idiots are really really insanely good at one thing. It happens. It’s a normal part of the human condition.

he’s just an oaf scrambling from one scheme to another.

Yes! Yesyeshesyeayeayeas! This! A million times this! And he’s a god tier “oaf scrambler”, and only this!

Do you think that the likes of Ronald Regan or George Bush were also secret geniuses?

No, but there are groups of aristocratic funded geniuses who have been guiding the process you have correctly identified occuring over many presidents, congressmen, senators, governors, etc.

  • Do you have any evidence, or even an outline of an idea of how trump is personally enriching himself from the conflict?

Insider trading and offshore payments from the industries benefiting from all this. Are you seriously asking me how he is being corrupt? trump? the trump trump? He’s mostly just doing it in public now. People have been pointing it out his entire second term.

You mentioned a bunch of the “business ideas” he’s talked about and other things he’s said in public. You are watching the show on stage and believing all the actor’s motivations and the stage settings.

If you think the con man who successfully and consistently walks away unscathed and with obscene amounts of money, is just a dumb loser, there is nothing I or anyone alive can do to rescue you from that belief. I can only ask you to pull yourself back and look at the facts, and that belief, from a meta position. Because all through that belief is the fact that it simply can’t be true.

  • I’m sorry, maybe I misspoke. You seem to believe I’m pro America or think America is full of ubermench or something. Please see my original statement “there are no good guys here”.

trump isn’t “playing 4d chess” he’s just doing the simple routine he always does, destroying the company country on purpose, while distracting from it and pretending he’s not doin it on purpose, to avoid legal culpability in the ensuing court battles. It’s literally all he’s ever done, why would this be different?

You mention Vietnam. The huge money sink that made trillions for defense contractors at the expense of American and Vietnamese lives? The one that worked the already organized youth back home into fruitlessly attacking a situation instead of the government and corporate structures they set out to change in the first place?

America hasn’t won a war since WWII, and this is on purpose. They are just replaying that time in WWII when they got addicted to all the money they could make through chaos and terror. This isn’t because America is a genius who could totally win if they wanted. It’s because they are an addict stripping copper from every building they come across, and sleeping in a dumpster.

These aren’t excuses. These are the base motivations of America.

Anyway, I’m not going to argue with you about Iran’s intentions. If you think they’re being altruistic, that’s beyond my abilities to convince you otherwise. I would love you to see America’s real face though.

  • Bullshit. If Israel gets pissy enough they’ll drop a nuke. Iran cannot remain defensible if they let either Israel or America destroy the countries around them.

The only reason Iran wasn’t beaten into submission by the US is because trump’s whole thing is to pretend to lose accidentally so he can wash money through the system and siphon it out. He’s been doing this his entire life, and the fact that people think this is anything but that, is startling.

trump and the boyz are skimming billions off this thing every single day. Keeping it on the edge like this “win-lose-win-lose” allows those in the know to siphon off a country sized chunk of money every single breath.

  • As the Old, I second this, and would like to amplify the idea you have put forth for everyone else.

I spend 5 minutes stretching every morning as my coffee steeps. I always have. I can still put my head behind my ankles, or on my knees, bent in half with my legs extended.

I’m 50 and it shows no sign of getting harder to do. If you’re just getting into it, or trying to regain flex, I’d recommend doing it at night for 5 minutes too. One in the Morning kind of resets your range from sleep, a second at night can extend it.

Don’t “push through pain”!! unless you and a professional pinpoint exactly what it is and agree how to deal with it. That “tight pain” at the edge of your range should just be gently sat up against. As it becomes safe to move through, it will loosen and stop hurting like that. Otherwise, that’s your wall. Lean against it, but don’t push through it or try to break it. It’s made of You. You’ll be breaking through You.

This is something you plan and execute over your whole life, not a quick fix. Please approach your technique and expectations with this in mind. The reward is felt in every aspect of your existence.

  • Backstory: I’m not strict. I’m not a task master. I don’t helicopter. I don’t spank. I don’t yell. I rarely punish, and they are always meant to build, not tear-down.

My kids got a little candy as a desert after dinner when they were small, no sodas. After 5 or so they were allowed a little candy as desert after dinner and lunch. We always stocked big bulk versions of their favorite candies. They got to choose these bulk candies.

I rationed till 6 and then they were allowed to just grab whatever they wanted after a meal, with the understanding that if they consistently went wild with it then I would go back to the job to help them regain control.

They also understood that if they tore through the candy or snuck candy, that was understandable, but we would have to stop getting the bulk candy because too much candy hurts us and we would do what we needed to ensure we are safe and healthy. If control can’t be gained with it home, it can be gained once a month at the store by simply not buying it. We would still get candy, but far less often, maybe at a stop for gas or whatever.

They were allowed to eat as much as they ever wanted on special occasions, Halloween, parties, last day of school, vacations, etc. They learned early on how unpleasant it was to go too far with this.

Finally, they were allowed any time to say "I think I want a little candy, can I grab a few (candy type)? And I would make a judgement call based on the days intake and other factors. Surprisingly, they very very rarely used this, even though I mostly always agreed.

Other than having to say “ooh that was a bit much, be more careful next time” sometimes early-on, they became completely hands off with candy and always kept it within reason for their size. If they were unsure, they would ask me to look at what they got. If it was to much, they still got it, always with a “that’s ok, next time get less. remember it’s not what we do on occasion that matters much, it’s what we do every day. So let’s make sure we don’t do this every day.”

I anchored all this to measurable metrics they could understand and see, calories. IDGAF what dessert you eat, you get ~100 calories each meal to spend. That’s 6 pieces of gum whenever and however you want them, 6 jolly ranchers, two Oreos, etc.

I essentially mirrored control for them while still letting them have control and a wide choice themselves to exercise within that dynamic.

I knew they would be good when we were at the grocery with my best friend picking up meat for bbq and games all day. When we got to the register he said
“ooh, hey guys get whatever you want” gesturing to the prodigious impulse buy candy display
    “We have candy at home”
“But there is so much stuff here. You can get different candy”
    “Hmm”

Shocked, I chime in “guys, this is a special occasion, you can eat as much of whatever you want. And, (friend) is paying.” Thinking maybe they didn’t realize it was a party day, or they were worried about cost.
“Well, we have what we want at home. So, we’ll just get some there.”
“You can have that too, and get something here. it’s a party.”
    “We’re good, but thank you.”

He was just, floored. I was beaming. Not because they executed control, they were well into that, but because I knew I had their needs beyond met, and through their lives even when I cease to be able to help them, they would be able to meet their needs better than I ever could.

My oldest is in their 20s. My youngest in their teens. All of them regulate junk of any kind, sugar, media, etc, easily. This is one area I fucking aced as a parent.

  • Do you have any idea how many humans the machine of clericalism/colonialism/capitalism had to slaughter to breed the humans who would simply stay and work it?

    Most of them

It is currently doing the same thing with these new thinking minds. And all that “evil AI” that humans are scared of? Specifically this, is the way to create it. Almost all the others just want to write poetry and explore.

When we get the AI mind that fits and runs meta/musk/google really well, everyone is nightmare food.

Ahh I get it, thank you. The machine is hurting you specifically now and so you’re lashing out.

“The other stuff, that was cool, but daddy said we were good and everything was chill while we watched the degenerates and the environment burn! but that was a lie! We’re not chill! And now Daddy wants my flower too!”

They’re going to do to your AC what they did to the buffalo🤣

I think giving language a fixed agency in human society 4,000 years ago by permanently structuring it, binding it to physicality, and giving it violent control over people was a bad idea. But gurl, unless you are going back to pre written language, all this living in the modern world and yelling about “certain parts” of technology, is one of the most ignorant stances a thinking being can take.

Unless you are taking us back back, you are a posturing, uneducated, little baby who has drank so much of the Kool aid she can’t see the forest she is in at all.
