Idk why it shouldn’t be considered, it’s far more plausible than artificial superintelligence and there’s thousands of papers, books, etc on that.
I think the only reason why it hasn’t really been considered in the AI research space is because it doesn’t really pose an existential threat to humanity.
Tbf so far every wall that was being approached in scalability has been overcome, and that’s one of the main reasons I think China has a massive advantage because they’ve been the primarily innovators in that regard; they have less compute to work with so they focus more on creating ingenious architecture solutions to these problems.
My main criticism of that paper is just their weird fantasy of a superintelligence overthrowing China and not the US lmfao
Tbh maybe I should’ve specified, I was more talking about like AI as in would conscious digital beings be considered proletarian, obviously that’s very different from AI tools, so in my original intended context your reply sounds like slavery but obviously you didn’t have that context because I failed to provide it lol

It’s somewhere in between, I want it to be very grounded but also still considering some of the crazy shit that’s entirely possible.
To be brief, it’s basically like Cyberpunk + The Fire Rises (HOI4 mod) + Pantheon, it’s a recovering post collapse world where most of the recovery is being facilitated by AI.
It’s sort of like post cyberpunk, maybe urban solarpunk? If you lived in the US you wouldn’t have access to the same luxuries of globalization anymore, at least to the same extent, infrastructure would be crumbled, there would be no federal structure, but communities would still make do and build on top of the ruins of capital. Whereas cyberpunk is high tech low life this scenario would be high tech high life but no fucking infrastructure

Hey Oppo, did you ever manage to Find X?

Wallahi my sleep schedule is cooked
I finally deleted all the social media apps off my phone because my ADHD leads me to use that effortless means of dopamine instead of genuinely fulfilling things and it just got so absurd recently
Im working on a map project for the near future (2050) if anyone has any cool ideas for countries and such in that scenario lmk
Have a good Monday comrades and here’s an Evil for morale

The US private credit system

Both at the same time
The US has been pretty dominant at software application uses and China has been dominant at physical applications (robotics and industrial automation)
And China focuses a lot more on improving the fundamental architecture and solving the challenges that come with that whereas the US is mostly focusing on scale

I personally rarely ever use LLM’s as chatbots, but I can’t really say your use case isn’t valid because I’m absurdly parasocial towards the Neuro twins lmfao

Qwen doesn’t really try to upsell either tbh

It would be kinda funny tho if every state kept its nukes, a North Dakota-Missouri nuclear standoff would be crazy

Oh like 10x faster at least, and by how much faster is basically doubling every year, there’s been more AI progress in the last two months than the entire year of 2023

My plan is a M5 Max MacBook Pro with 128 gigs of ram, reportedly it runs Qwen 3.5 122B at 60TP/S
It has essentially 56 tensor cores
Also in case you wanna learn more about this lol
