Until people realize the initial up front cost of growing, I doubt most are growing. It cost me $400 to get started with my entire outdoor set up without plant cost. Now, imagine indoor where lighting cost $400 itself.

In California the benchmark is the cost of taxes, if taxes are too high why would I buy legally? I’ll go to my homie for far less. However, buying off the street is a risk, people are now lacing weed with fentanyl and I have no clue why, but I’ve actually had it happen to someone close.
