A kibbutz is an intentional community. The original kibbutz were intended to be a mixture of socialism and zionism, a distinctly jewish agricultural community. Today, they are still intentional zionist communities and lack socialist characteristics, but as we have seen from the documented building of these in lands that are intended to be transferred to palastinian authority, serve as a hardened border to contain Palastians.

World News@lemmygrad.ml•Megathread for the US war on Iran | Week 41 of 2026
6·8 days agoThis is a consequence I think of the usage of the word ‘state’, where people cannot see past the state-conflict label which is usually desrcibed as imperialism (because its capitalists using the state to extract commodities from other states). People are misinformed and under educated.
The challenge with ‘socialism in one country’ as a descriptive is that to me it feels like a myopic lens if used to then describe the international class conflict. As state conflicts throughout history (ignoring things like peasant republic, theocracy, and so on) are usually the learned exploitation of capitalist colonialism, nationalism or imperialism. As uneducated people project the other class/state-conflicts with that ‘understanding’ they then mischaracter the PRC as “state capitalism” or the USSR as “socialist imperialism”.
Correct! They want to replace your labor with a machine :)
Precicely, and the conditions in which to use state power must be created. There needs the ability to fully mobilise the productive forces of Palastians. This is not possible today with the atomized Palastian land, today recognised as the Palastine’ west bank, typically referred to as “area C”. The only entity capable of utilising that productive capacity is Israel. The ability for the working class of Palastian to sieze state power will be through class struggle.
It is urgent and acute that the means in which to sieze that productive capacity are built through international solidarity, and not through the believe that a state can be formed ‘up’ out of a collection of open air prisons.
What is a country or state?
Most definitions people use, will define Israel as a country or state, that is colonising another state.
It is colonising land that should be ‘gradually transferred to Palestinian jurisdiction’ built on the failure and failure and failure of political representation of palastinians over the political interests of the Israeli state, which has been to deny the existance of a palastian state by any and all means neccessary.
Rabat and Netanyahu interpreted the Oslo accords in such a way as to define the secruity border extra-territorially, as in a border beyond that of the state, to constraint the development of Palastine to nothing more than a walled bantustan, akin to an even atomized KwaZulu.

11·14 days agoI’ve been struggling with work, with an uninspired boss and an unguided boss’s boss. I had so much energy when I started this role but I question myself and what I can achieve here. It occupies so much of my time and energy and this is all happening when I know we are running towards climate disasters with no action, and with people ‘enjoying’ 30c weather at the end of September. Don’t look up.
And then we have the utterly untrustworthy US Americans that openly pillaging everything and ““centrist”” governments debating if they can form a fascist government with the far right all over europe.
Fight the fight comrades, we have much to do.

Comrade, I fail to see the problem.

7·23 days agoThey know they have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity, they have been warned that they would be committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, and still continue to conduct war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The greatest joke of it all is to do this naked in front of the UNGA. The greatest irony is without the typical US press, and will instead be brought to you LIVE on Trump TV.
USA is the pariah rouge state that they demonize in others. USA, and those that support it, cannot be trusted.

16·23 days agoIts interesting reading these moments through a ‘state’/class lens; the People’s democratic dictatorship will be a difficult foe as seen through the eyes of the US oligarchy. How can the US compete against a foe that is able to think in terms of it’s whole? If the US is unable to see that helping the people is in everyone’s interest then they are doomed to fail without their vassalage or colonial network.
Where the US ruling class is purely interested in preserving the tech/military/financial/industrial complex so as to extract as much surplus value from their citizens as possible it will never be able to stand up to a DotP that’s aim is to improving the lives of the people: healthy and happy people are productive people. Higher productive capacity empowers more and more: its an ever greater climb to an ever growing top!

14·27 days agoI am going through the painful experience of buying a mop and bucket under capitalism.
Every store has a single brand for all your cleaning needs, that all work with their own proprietary system so you need Brand™ System™ refills or Brand™ compatible handles. I thought I finally had one that is ‘just a mop’ but the squeeze for the bucket ‘that came free’ was made too small for the same brand’s mop head and it will break in one more use and barely worked. I will have some plastic waste that will outlive humans on my hands.
I just want a fucking mop that goes on a fucking handle that can go in a fucking bucket to mop some fucking floors. Capitalism is hell. I refuse to participate in this, and will never order online for the same thing. So its an ongoing mission to just find a damn thing in this damn country that hasn’t been captured.

18·1 month agoI was at a pride march early sunmer and there was a “Iranian government protest” that I randomly came across. What made it clear for me that these ‘protests’ are influence campaigns by some other state were the music was pure AI (it sounded exactly like “we are charlie kirk”), a pride flag, a Israeli flag, and a Ukrainian flag. Waving a USA flag would have looked like it was in its natural habitat.
Seeing all the people holding lion and sun flags listening to an american AI song wailing about some bullshit and I don’t know how anyone can believe these protests aren’t orchestrated by some foreign government. There’s nothing genuine about them!

4·1 month agoThats where I was hoping you can expand, comrade! If we still rely on the wage system, where others are paid more for their contribution beyond the common needs of others to pay for luxuries then I don’t know how revolutionary the future’s day to day will be. I struggle to see if the money-wage system is still in place how different it would be from today. The then joyful task of tallying and monitoring and weighing and counting and judging the individual contributions of all at scale with I expect the office to do all this work (and then enforcing and punishing and shaming?) then we are not really too far away from how the world works today. But the challenge of reward or punishment to work is a difficult one, so that’s where I’d love if people can give some insights, as my view is very pessimistic in that form of labor relations.
Today, festivals are luxurious, expensive, and artificially constrained to extract the most amount of capital for the least amount of effort. The idea then is to maintain a fine line from extractive food-drink prices, entry-stay fees, artist-lineup attractiveness, and to make as much profit and maintain as much of a reputation to do it all again. In a communist society, extracting money for profit is not the goal, and the luxurious nature of organising cultural events for society should be seen differently. We’re quite biased to the monopolies of festivals today and need to lean much more towards something like Aste Nagusia in Euskal Herria (basque country), you’ll love its revolutionary character.
The “extraction of surplus-value” is a, if not the, defining characteristic of capitalism, and a eureka moment in Marxist theory. I am interested in then how this productive force use converted into surplus ‘value’ - meaning working beyond the needs of society and our collective plan for the betterment of society to grow. It feels distinctly ‘line must go up’ so any material you have to help me there would be helpful!

7·1 month agoIs there anything further you could expand on or have some more get support on this poiny?
This just sounds like ‘money’ with a different face, and those that can’t contribute will be penalised. This is where I get stuck with any ‘contribution’ system, as it will involve an ever more complicated system of totalling and tallying and tokens and cheques and so on. If we still are left with a wage system, we’ve failed.
The ‘rank’ stars arent even stars.

3·1 month agoSlay the spire 2 is a fun game, I can attest to that! Its also multiplayer, so if you have a couple of folk that could join you it adds an extra layer of complexity. I have heard good things of fields of mistria from people who like the cozy games. Apparently the first moonlighter is fun too which might be a nice intro if stardew is nice in theory but tough in practice.
I have only heard good things from pokopia but might not be worth it unless you can find something cheap.
You could also play EU4, I honestly think its one of the best games ever made. The more the merrier ;)

How trust worthy is the UKMTO? I remember a rumor that they was limited in what and when it could report attacks by the USA.
