From the first EP?

Bad habit, your brain needs a lack of talking heads when you sleep.
If silence doesn’t work for you, try something with steady noise. Some use white noise generators, for me it’s the whir from an air purifier.

Testes, check, check, testes. One, two…three??

Torontonians need not limit themselves in potential; they simply require belief and steely resolve

Certain movie scenes. When I was a kid I watched Back to the Future a lot, and the scenes with the DeLorean always did it.
Also certain memories when they come at opportune times.
And rarely when I pee…usually when I’m too hot after exerting in the summer heat.

The exploding cigarette is hilarious! These days adult me thinks damn, that’s dangerous, but the kid is still in there laughing.
Was your brother ok, and did you get to watch it blow up?!

I decided to have a trial run with one of those in the sixth grade cafeteria. It certainly did the job, and I had some time with the vice principal.
Itch powder also works.

Excellent points. Makes me think of the old hair in the soup hangup, which had less to do with the hair itself (gross enough) and more about what else is getting into the soup? (disgusting).

The headline seems to suggest horse meat is bad for health, which afaik is not true. It’s illegal many places and taboo, but not for health reasons.

I find the sign condescending, shaming, and presumptuous (40%). If I owned the place that’s not how I’d want it represented when people come in.
Restaurants are already expensive before factoring in tips. If the place gets a reputation that our staff are accustomed to 40% gratuity the business may struggle.
The US restaurant system is broken. Pressuring the customers you rely on, who face the same economic hardships as you, is not going to fix it.

I was mid-late teens when the internet started to become widespread. I didn’t like the idea, had a bad feeling about it. Then I relaxed a bit and the more I used it, became comfortable with it.
Social media is what I was initially worried about, though I wouldn’t have been able to know it back then. I"d want the pre-internet world back if I had one wish.
People were generally more respectful and forgiving to one another. There was a sense of we’re in this together that has steadily eroded. We had our problems mind you, but I was sure my generation and I would make things better. By and large the only people saying everything’s fucked were the “end is nigh” crazies in the streets.
Maybe my perspective was just more idealistic back then (excluding the internet), and the world was just as grim as it seems today.
But having college graduates reject AI–that gives me a little hope.

Although he’s a minor his crimes weren’t. But Florida, so he’ll be passed over like a dimpled chad.

Rather than Eaton you may have been thinking of Schneider Electric /Square D, which is French. I prefer their stuff over Eaton.

Maybe she was saying we’re near-constantly full of shit. And that’s a big collective touché, honestly
An in-law of mine got a smart toaster and loves it. Her elderly mom was so excited about that she got one too. I couldn’t get either of them to express an advantage over a regular toaster, they each just like having it.
I didn’t bother mentioning possible privacy concerns, more power to them if it makes them happy.
I went to high school with a psychopath. He was a friend of an idiot friend. He beat up a quiet kid on the bus once and later tried to steal my car. He disappeared for awhile, and I later learned he’d been locked up. I searched him on the internet a few months ago because I had a feeling he’d be in prison.
Yep. He raped a girl, beat up her boyfriend, and was being hunted down for burglary when the cops cornered him (I think on the rooftop of a 2-story house). Then he said some stupid line and backflipped off the roof.
After awhile in prison he managed to get hold of the tool the prison guards use to slide the food trays while the new guard was in the cell with him. He beat the guard to death with it, then acted casual about it. There’s a video of the aftermath.
So he’s on death row now, trying to play the Jesus card.
There’s a shitty Amazon doc about him, name is Billy Tracy.
EDIT: When you mentioned knowing a truly evil person, that’s what Billy is. I could see it in his eyes from the moment I met him, just a void. When I searched him up his parents weren’t mentioned much, but what was there seemed to indicate they were as baffled as anyone about how he turned out. Maybe, who knows.

Did they even have signage up?
No answer, but I wonder if it’s more than conditioning. At times when I’m thinking, with others or alone, I mash my hand to my chin/lower lip. I don’t feel I’m indicating anything, but I swear it helps with ideas.
