The President of the United States, the nuclear football sitting seconds away from his location at all times, at age 79, has the emotional intelligence of a child.

    Absolutely terrifying.

Trump’s threat to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre:

“Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace,” the 79-year-old wrote in a message to his Norwegian counterpart.

He can think anything he damned want. Just so long as it doesn’t go any further. Although, I’d like to see him attempt to declare war on Norway because of this… And their delicious sovereign wealth fund.

Yeah, though, Russia’s foreign wealth wasn’t really much of a bargaining chip in its insanity – foreign countries have basically seized that wealth, and are handing it to Ukraine for war funding. If a bunch of Europeans have a bunch of money in the USA / US companies, that seems more like a risk for Europe than the USA – the USA could just seize it, and use it to fund bombs / propaganda to attack Europe. Even with Trumps shenanigans, it seems foreign investors are still piling money in to the USA (or at least they had been, I haven’t really looked at what the last couple weeks have done, admittedly).

Of course no dumbass that supports him would even think one step past the initial statement to realize that implied in that statement is the fact that he was only considering peace in the first place in order to win the award…

I’d love more transparency into the decision making that led to giving it to a recipient who both actively called for war and whose receipt of the prize made war more likely.

That Trump is a giant clown does not mean that the people he feuds with aren’t also clowns. The Peace Prize is trash and has been for decades.

Maybe more transparency would be good in the Nobel Peace Prize process. One thing is clear to everyone except maybe one person though: Trump definitely does not deserve it.
