My least favorite part of all the accelerationists and doomers is this:

I don’t know that we can make that claim. There’s a historical accuracy to that thought process. But there are also examples otherwise. It’s definitely not as clear and etched in stone like some say. There’s not a whole lot that our society shares with societies of the past. We have more guns than people, and obviously it’s a lot easier to take out a ton of people with an AR-15 than a sword. If all the rest of the world turn their backs on America at the same it’ll hurt a bit for the world, but it’d be the end of America rather quick. Beyond that, anti-vaxxers, climate change, social strife, there’s just no way to guarantee what you say.
