In this case Fergie = James Cox “Fergie” Chambers Jr.
I was about to say, like wtf the “my humps” chick do?
I was wondering if she peed herself again and Spain takes it super seriously.
He’s got that boom boom pow
My first thought was ‘come on Pedrito, tell them to pound sand’. But then I read the article and looked this Fergie feller up, and let’s say I’m not a fan of rich fuckers, silky hands ‘communists’ that haven’t worked a day in their lives. So, Spain already being in the eyesight of Bibi and Trump, it might be better not to get into more trouble for this wanker and let them hang him. After all he did said that ‘Hamas did nothing wrong’ a few days after Oct7, so own your words and the consequences.
Spain doesn’t have the death penalty… for alleged words. Pretty fascist of you to say when someone disagrees with you.
Democracies are meant to have diverse viewpoints…
Spain doesn’t have death penalty at all, not just for words. But it has penalties for ‘terrorism apology’, and the Spanish government has asked for extraditions for much milder tweets than ‘[terrorist organisation] did nothing wrong’, not alleged, the tweet’s there.
I didn’t say I would hang him, or that he deserves to die. But getting more into the bad side of the USA has tangible consequences for the poor people down here, not just for the multi-millionaire yanks playing revolutionary. My sympathy and empathy are finite, already spread quite thin for the former, so there’s not much left for the latter.
I’m not usually that transactional, when they denied the USA the use of bases and air space I was pleasantly surprised, and all in favour no matter the consequences, making it even a tiny little bit harder to bomb kids is absolutely worthy. But for this rich dude? Idk there seems to be a threshold above which I don’t care anymore about anyone richer.
In your opinion, what consequences should someone face for words?
I guess you mean legal consequences, so mostly none. There are words that should carry penalties, like if someone orders to kill a person, technically that’s only words. But in this case, as far as I know, this guy didn’t say anything like that so none, nothing at all.
But a different thing is putting myself, and many other people I care more about than this bloke, in harm’s way to protect him from the consequences, even if unjust, of the things he said.
But a different thing is putting myself, and many other people I care more
So by your own admission, he did nothing wrong. But you want him to suffer unjust consequences and the curtailing of rights because of some supposed fear of splash damage…
Not great, bud. Not great at all
I didn’t say any of that, not even implied it. I said that ‘I wouldn’t put him in jail for the things I’ve read he said and tweeted’, I do think some of those were very wrong tho. And for being a super-rich fucker living off workers labour I wouldn’t put him in jail either, and I’m not gonna say what, in my opinion, he deserves for that because here in Spain posting on the internet or saying out loud some things is illegal and carry legal consequences.
