I’m not sure the US is footing the bill for recon. Is it sanctioned Iranian money? 🤔

Iran will get the money one way or another. If the US doesn’t come up with some way to discreetly (they will have to save face somehow by not openly acknowledging that is what it is and instead route it through some layers of obfuscation) pay the reparations, which would of course be in addition to giving Iran’s own money back to it, then Iran will just take that money out of tolls and “administrative fees” on the Hormuz strait. Maybe the US passes the bill onto the Gulf Arab regimes, which have already been screwed over and will be screwed over even more thanks to having put their trust in the US, but to Iran it doesn’t make much of a difference who pays the money as long as it gets paid.

The saying goes “Hard learned is well-learned.” I look forward to the United States moving from remedial class to advanced placement. Quickly. Sleep on the book and learn by osmosis, quickly.

It’s its own whole topic. The US and friends will be paying all the money owed plus interest which will come out of their pockets

        Thank you!

Great work under extraordinary circumstances, comrade. It’s an honor to read your work and converse with you about it.

Thank you for reading so voraciously and with so much enthusiasm. the spectacle is really (and will likely always be) just a blog that I started a couple of years ago. Could never have imagined then that it would be read by hundreds of thousands of people a month today.

I’m not sure what comes next for the magazine though because I’m studying to be a nurse so the room for doing more, such as a podcast or videos, is little to none. That being said, the magazine will continue as it is, that’s for sure.

I am thinking about inviting guest writers to publish in the spectacle. There are a few extremely talented people with smaller followings who I’d like to a) share with my readers and b) give a little bit of a platform to, to help them grow.

I’m always open to ideas from readers too. Be that for articles or ideas about how I should deliver the magazine. It is a people’s publication after all!

Comrade, it’s my pleasure! I want to thank you for bringing important stories to our attention, and for all the grim realities, bringing a bit of mirth into the information. Laugh to keep tears at bay, laugh to recognize the absurdity.

I’m working toward being able to donate but am currently sidelined from the work I was doing. I’m considering other options.

I’ve been seeing your nursing school in your publication for some time, and I’m here for it! Health is a challenging industry; too often I see caregivers caring for others and neglecting themselves. I exhort you to make time for proper rest and nutrition, lest you become sidelined. I can’t think of a kinder heart or sharper mind I’d want providing my care, and wish you the best. Perhaps you’ll become the Irish equivalent of FNP and both medically and financially free! Whatever your aim, I wish you a steady, rapid trajectory, and a perfect landing on your mark!

I think that’s a solid idea. It will keep the publication going until you return or pass it on. I hope you will consider sharing joys and frustrations of your foray into medical education and industry – without getting yourself into trouble, of course!

Thank you for sharing, sending warmest wishes for success in all your noble endeavors, and wide open freedom in every way!

Apparently it is now $400B, and $100B of that is to come from Iranian assets they stole, $300B from a reconstruction fund.

I saw someone comparing this to: “walking into the grocery store, giving them $100, getting told they’ll give you food in 60 days, & having sleep for dinner”
