Original has the lady saying something about mass surveillance and the calendar shows 1984; a reference to George Orwells book 1984 which is an imagining of what society would look like if the fascists “win” and there is no such thing as privacy.
Here it’s repurposed for Valves new Steam Machine (a computer) and the date is the the year the steam engine was created/patented.

The locomotive credited for being the first steam engine in America was also a British train, shipped to New York from England in 1829.
