I really don’t know much about vtubers, but it’s still streaming. It’s all about getting those views and followers and pretending to be a girl might be helpful with that.
Even like 15 years back I remember a few people that pretended to be a girls in MMORPGs, including modulating their voice in voice chat, just to get all kinds of favourable treatment from horny teenagers.
I would think so, but I really don’t know. It should be pretty easy to pull off with all the modern technology.
Also I’m not sure if it’s just about attention. If you’re focusing on gaming (and I think quite few vtubers are) it might just make things easier. You might underestimate how far men will go to pamper a girl in a video game. It was actually a minor problem in my gaming days.
