Context: Beria was one of the most feared, high ranking men in the USSR, serving as head of the NKVD. His crimes against children and women were well known, many, and revolting. He served as Stalins right hand man for the latter half of Stalins reign and remained loyal to him until the end.

Running off of memory too, here, but I believe so. To my recollection, he sent an armed guard to retrieve his daughter, with orders to execute Beria on the spot if she seemed in any way violated.
