    Who doesn’t use “whataboutisms”? Seriously. Life isn’t a debate, we compare things every day all day.

    Tell me how you address HYPOCRISY without using a “whataboutism”

    Primus~ “You do ___________”

    Secundus~ “You also do __________ what’s the problem”

    Primus~ “Whataboutism! this is a logical fallacy”

    Secundus~ “You are right, I apologize”

      Whataboutisms are not a valid defense against the original accusation or claim. Of course one can append a counter-accusation of hypocrisy, but that says nothing about whether the primary subject was justified or not.

      Accusations of hypocrisy should be a separate subject. Initiating that claim is not a whataboutism.
