To contradict what the other kind commenter said, for an app I recommend Boost for Lemmy. ;)
Nice! So (assuming you’re on a PC), you want to click on “communities” at the top and then search for whatever. I personally like these ones: Bandcamp, Music, Indieheads, and anime. Remember to click “all” when you’re searching!
Also: there are some quirky places here, like !bench@lemmy.world. It’s just pictures of benches around the world. I love it.

Is there a way with mobile? Currently using Voyager
On Voyager, just use the search button with the magnifying glass on the bottom right.
