Consistently enforced, trying to shield kids from indoctrination is a noble goal. But I don’t think they apply this to state propaganda

I disabled comments on Vanced and I feel so much better

“They have a scenario” doesn’t mean it’s likely. No way there is going to be a run on US paper right now

At what speed?

Exactly, they’re misclassified mopeds (which do require a license, helmet, and rider age at least 16)

Bicycles already exist and Amsterdam is famously cycle friendly. But these things go way to fast for the kids riding them without helmets or insurance, zipping through unsuspecting tourists and getting into loads of accidents

Don’t give this distraction any oxygen.

Imagine both at the same time

That’s a weird thing to bring up

I’m with you. I welcome all kinds of resistance, but this one misses the mark for me. Not because of anything being offensive, but because of drug addiction being incredibly sad

How would this be bad for me?

They’re not protesting falling standards, but competition. I’m all for harmonizing standards, but that’s something else

I’m against protectionism. Adding trade barriers doesn’t ‘protect’ our industries, it just artificially hurts foreign businesses. If your product can’t compete on its own, improve your business and don’t lobby the government to unfairly promote your substandard product.
Protesting animal farmers can get fucked
There never were that many of those people. Kamala lost this one entirely on her own, with a lackluster platform and campaign. Not having an open primary of course didn’t help, either. Democrats suck right now, I’m sorry to say. Of course that’s going to depress turnout.
And don’t point fingers at me, I did what I could. But you should know shaming people into voting for your party has never ever worked.
