I agree. Signal is easier to use and to get people switch to it since the UI/UX are vey similar to other big platforms.
But they say Signal is centralized, and hosted in the US.
Me neither. In fact, all my friends and almost all people here are only using Messenger and Telegram.
Interesting…
So it’s against federation
Insightful! Thanks. I agree and I’ll give SimpleX a try as others suggested.
Molly has more features and it’s developed by indie devs.
As said in the post, I just want some insights. So any type of comment is okay.
That’s some great insights. Thanks!
I saw someone says that groups are locally stored only, which is definitely a drawback.
I also prefer Molly as client.

5·3 days agoYes. Jetpack Compose is multiplatform. If you have the source code of an android app, you can port it to your preferred platform, but you have to adjust most of the code depending on the functionality since APIs are platform-specific unless it’s JVM only.

19·4 days agoI think you still need to register/verify since it will require a valid ID and app IDs (package names).
What I liked the most from it is the inclusion of releases on the migration.
Got it! I’ll consider this.

That’s new to me. Thanks!
