I’m not a fan of all of his policies or even the LPC in general, but it is incredible having a leader willing to explore opportunities and take risks for the greater good of the nation, both present and future. He knows the winds are changing and he wants to make sure Canada is in a favourable position when the dust settles. Seeking new allies and trade deals is 100% the right move right now, and advertising Canada as a sane and stable alternative to the US is smart.

I doubt Trump himself cares even a little bit about Greenland. The fucker just wants to loaf around playing golf while eating burgers served on golden platters by people who fawn over him.

There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that the fascists would just hand over the presidency at the end of his term. They have near complete control over the executive and judicial branches of government with their own gestapo at their disposal. The only place Trump is going to go is 6 feet underground and, in that case, they’ll just pick another obedient successor.

No country ever in the history of trade itself would ever give up land or risk war over a 10% tariff.

In fact, 10% is pretty pathetic even compared to Trump’s other tariffs. I’m wondering if this is his way of pretending to care about Greenland while not actually doing anything majorly impactful.
