People really need to get a sense of energy consumption. Someone sitting at home creating a AI version of Mario Kart and distributing it via the Internet uses less energy than Nintendo having its team commuting into an office, producing Discs/carts, shipping them into stores and so on. The amount of energy used here should be less than a single person driving a few hundred kilometers with his car to do another Hobby.

It quite simple: War sucks. Baby Boomers in the USA are those massive amount of people born between 1946 and 1964. In Germany this boom occured between 1955 and 1969. Which totally makes sense - the US gets a boom from men returning from the war in an undestroyed country. German men were either dead or captured and in camps in 1945. Cities were destroyed, people were starving, so not the best time for babies.

Just for your information: The “Boomer” generation in Europe is a different age cohort than the boomers in the USA due to the war. Which makes importing that US generational warfare thing even more stupid because we are talking about different age groups.
