Venezuela was an expensive PR mission that did nothing to actually threaten the Bolivarian revolution. Maduro wasn’t even in hiding and the government assuredly had plans in case the US pulled some BS like this. If anything, the state will be even more attentive to squashing possible US proxies and collaborators

I think thats true for a lot of Western liberals generally. But a lot of liberals still do care about the wellbeing about people in other countries. They just have no actual comprehension about imperialism as a system and how they benefit from it as citizens of empire. Not saying their ignorance is excusable, but it’s what allows their compassion to be weaponized at whatever foreign boogeyman is next in empire’s scope. (“The Ukraine War is Russia’s fault,” “Uyghurs,” “Trump kidnapping Maduro is wrong but Maduro is still a meanie poo-poo head”)
Yeah totally. Lets not romanticize working on an assembly line as a human machine. It can be mentally understimulating and hard on the body. At the end of the day we should be for automation under socialism so that it can free us from this drudgery.
