I spent a couple of days at the Catalina State Park waiting on minor flood waters to recede (2024), and while there hiked this lovely short little hike showcasing much of the flora found in the area. On the other side of the valley the jagged ridges of the Santa Catalina mountains rise dramatically.
Several clusters of Saguaro cacti grow among the shrubs on the side of the trail. One dead and desiccated Saguaro may be seen in the center of frame.
