Basically the summary is he basically says there ‘entryist’ taking Second Thoughts context on the DSA and Mandani and being reformist.

I coincidentally listened to the episode about DSA at the time. I also watched JT’s video that it referenced. So it has been a couple of weeks, but I did not agree with their takes and am far closer to RTSG’s critique on this (and that of the viewers criticising JT from the left).

Yugopnik himselve mentioned a point that RTSG didn’t deal with in full. Lenin did say communist participation in bourgeois parliamentary politics serves to expose the latter as a deception. RTGS picked up on this being meant from the vantage point of a vanguard party, but there is a more glaring contradiction here.

JT did not work towards exposing the deception but mystifying it. Regardless of how often he may distance himself from parliametarism, he praised it’s supposed achievements.

A huge issue with the “baby leftists”, who JT aims to address, is their emotional investment in the democratic party (as is obvious right now after the midterms). And he strengthens that instead of working towards emancipation and empowerment.

Yugopnik’s logic is completely backwards: “participation in parliament leads to it being exposed as a deception hence it’s good to praise the effectiveness of that participation to cast legitimate doubt on participation”. That’s just paradoxical.

That was a damning, unprincipled episode. It was sad to be honest. I don’t really listen to the deprogram, because it’s vibes/substance ratio is too high for me, but at least I assumed the substance was there. Now I’m questioning that, but maybe it was a one-off.

So funny that every single video criticizing them is obviously a mal interpretation of what they say by the worst people ever

How dare they be cautiously critically supportive of USAsian left-wing movements that are actually making waves in terms of the potential to forward marxism leninism through ML cacauses and public attention. I guess RevLeft Brett is a revisionist too by the same logic

I am not sure why you posted this screenshot without a link. This is the video in question. There is plenty to criticize about RTSG, i do not follow them and would not have watched this video had you not made this post. But after listening to it, and while acknowledging that the clips which this video shows may be cherry-picked or taken out of context, i think the criticism in this video is spot on. The fact that so much of the US left is falling for the DSA’s sheepdogging into the Democratic Party is a real problem and a big one. The number one priority needs to be building an independent party of the working class. There is also plenty to critique about the PSL, and i personally have serious doubts that its organizational structure, as it currently stands, is adequate and healthy for a revolutionary party (and that’s putting it mildly), but at least they are trying to build an independent party. The DSA are not.

I think the info he gave in the video about the deprogram people is all pretty accurate. They’ve really fallen off over the past year or 2. However the more I watched him I started to notice his views were a bit weird. I remember him criticizing trans people about something like about how they looked and then it hit me that he must be ACP. I don’t subscribe to him.

Guilt by association does not invalidate the points made in this video. Can you offer criticism on the substance of the arguments?

Honestly, no I don’t plan on wasting my time with anything ACP affiliated, they have consistently demonstrated extremely aggressive, toxic and bad faith behavior towards many people that they perceived to be their opponents. Whatever potential good point the video makes is ruined by their affiliation to that org.

people should really be willing to accept criticism, even if it comes from bad-faith enemies. after all, this is one of the major ways that groups like the ACP could get more popular and gain more power: making legitimately good criticisms of orgs or people that refuse to self-criticize or accept external crit, and siphoning off followers as people get disillusioned as a consequence of those exact same criticisms. i recognize the threat of nazbols like the ACP but i don’t think that necessarily invalidates everything that they say, it just puts their motives into question.

The ACP is not mentioned a single time in the video. I really don’t understand the obsession some people here have with the ACP. They are irrelevant and no one takes them seriously. Why keep bringing them up as if they are this big scary boogieman?

whereas traditional neonazis are just far right wingers that openly adore hitler, groups like the ACP are literal neonazis in the sense that they have the same playbook as the nazi party actually did: dressing up fascist policies in left wing terminology, jargon and aesthetics. so, it is an extremely serious phenomenon even if they currently have next to no political power; the nazi party was also incredibly unpopular and had no power, until that suddenly was not the case.

Well eventually, but not before they banned a whole lot of users for criticizing the coup including me. Maybe a couple of days after, the infiltrator got his mod privileges revoked and got kicked out along with his minions by another mod who wasn’t as active anymore, but saved the day.
