The reason Republicans and Democrats fight over votes isn’t in service of the working class, it’s deciding which faction of captialists gets more of their say. It isn’t a dichotomy of “solving” and “not solving,” it’s which faction gets their problems solved in their interests. The working classes only get concessions by fighting for them on the ground.
And that fight should be fought, I’m not saying not to. But if you don’t think voting matters at all, try asking anyone who got harassed or outright shot by ICE if they agree.
I do talk to people, actually. ICE terror was going on under the democrats as well, which is why the system itself needs to be changed, not merely the steward.
Democrats aren’t anti-capitalists. You’re confusing bourgeois infighting with the ability for elections in capitalism to cede workers power.
That doesn’t mean it can’t change lives in the meantime. Just because it can’t solve everything doesn’t mean it should ignored.
