More than 167,000 pounds of meat are being recalled across the United States after being produced without proper federal inspection, according to the United States Department of Agriculture.
I’ve been suspecting that something was up. Idk I don’t have any way to prove it and maybe the recall event hasn’t been going on this long but for the past several months I’ve noticed that the date on meat is way farther in the future than it should be. Stuff I’ve gotta buy up and use today is marked “sell by next week”.
I noticed on some ground chicken had a longer date than the turkey and they were packed near the same time. I just assumed maybe the chicken was shipped frozen so it allowed longer time.
Also had to toss a rack of ribs that still had 4 days and vacuum sealed and my refrigerator is colder than the recommended residential fridge.
