Just off the top of my head:

Witcher 3
Baldur’s Gate 3
Divinity: Original Sin 1+2

Cyberpunk 2077

Gothic.

Well I’m not sure about best, but Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom for me has been the purest fun I have had in gaming in a while. Its a somewhat short nonsensical 3D platformer, though the humor can be a bit crude at times. Its made by an Italian indie studio, Panik Arcade.

I’m sure I’ll get dunked on for shilling for Ubisoft, but my god, is the original Rayman trilogy good! Rayman, Rayman 2, and Rayman 3 are some of the most imaginative, creative, funny, and just plain well-made games I’ve ever played!

If you’re understandably not into Ubisoft, try Darwinia, a fun retro-looking RTS game, and the Croc remake, with Croc 2 getting remade just around the corner!
