I really do love how in all these Western articles they never actually mention what he’s been charged with, just that he “loves democracy”.
I wonder how Western governments would react to a powerful person actively courting a foreign power, calling for sanctions, and attempting a colour revolution
They did in the linked article which was about the sentence.
Lai was convicted in December on charges of sedition and conspiracy to collude with foreign forces. He had pleaded not guilty to all charges. The collusion convictions carry a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
The framing of that article is dog shite and just more consent manufacturing for Western interference.
