In 2021, a fellow animator named Kyla Atlas was approached by Hope for Autism, a group supporting young adults living with autism spectrum disorder and their families. They were interested in running stop-motion animation workshops. Atlas asked Ram Puvanesasingham, an inclusive designer, and myself, to see if there was something we could do. We wound up founding Frame by Frame a collective that uses stop-motion animation as an inclusive and accessible creative outlet to empower individuals of all abilities to tell their stories.
