NATO countries in Europe have more than doubled their arms imports between 2020 and 2024, with the US supplying over 64% of the total – up from 52% over the previous five-year period.

Saw this while reading some related stuff about Canada. Article from 2025 but it doesn’t seem to have been posted.

    This is one way how Russian (and Chinese) disinformation works. First, Europe (and Canada and others, whatever the context is) is too dependent on the US and thus weak. If Europe and others invest more in their security, it comes at the expense of social welfare. ‘Europe bad’ again.

    You, @avidamoeba@lemmy.ca , are posting a hopelessly old article only to turn any narrative into a “Europe bad” narrative - once again, unfortunately, as your post history shows exclusively pro-China, pro-Russia propaganda narratives.
