There should be a one child policy for settlers in North America and Australia, with the exception for descendants of slavery or indigenous people

Don’t settlers already have trouble with having children? Most of the Global North has low birthrates. I think it’s better to give incentives for indigenous people to have children rather than punish settlers.

99% of “settlers” in north america didn’t have any choice in where they were born. Stop blaming individuals for the systems put in place by the bourgeoisie. It’s idealist and individualist thinking.

We don’t blame climate change on the people who drive cars because we know that they are just caught in a system that makes not driving cars hard and we know that they are just a fraction of the problem. The white working class people are not the ones who are continuing the genocide against indigenous people. All workers are exploited and abused by capitalism, punishing the white people because they were less abused is stupid.

Its a racists discourse. Yes we need to do what we can to make things right for the indigenous peoples who have suffered the most from capitalism and imperialism but we don’t do that by further entrenching racial divisions by punishing people who did not cause the suffering.

We shouldn’t copy and paste China’s policies into our own nations. Don’t forget the historical context: the Chinese didn’t know how industrialization would affect population growth (nobody did at the time), and their nation had a lot of famines in history.

A larger population isn’t gonna do shit for the indigenous people if they don’t get political representation. IIRC South Africa had a Black majority but the White minority was the one in power.

The Land-back movement isn’t a “get out settler” movement. It’s about the Indigenous people having the right to choose their destiny and control their land. In practice that would mean socialism, higher percentage of minorities in Assemblies, quotas for jobs, incentives for having children, and land reform.

China’s one child policy was to combat explosive population growth as well as the reactionary habit of having many children as a store of wealth. Ethnic minorities in China are mostly from regions where there is not an abundance of food and thus they had lower reproduction rates to begin with.

Birth rates don’t even hit replacement levels in settler states. Explosive population growth is not a issue at all. Indigenous peoples already have higher than average birthrates in the 3 big settler states.

Its a “fix” for a problem that doesn’t exist done for eugenics purposes.
