Arte is great (although I think it would help if there is more subtitle languages available, sometimes at all. Can’t make my kids very happy yet with the current available programs.

Arte is available free on some streaming boxes even in countries where it’s not broadcast freely.
I love it simply because it’s the near enough closest incarnation we have these day of this quote:

Would be nice to see more people take this attitude in this day and age.
Not loving arte is an immediate red flag, imo. They’re one of the few reasons I have no problem in the slightest paying my GEZ.
Sadly they get only a small slice afaik
They do have some weird, WEIRD shit as well, but that’s culture. Not everything has to be to MY taste.
Oh yea, exactly. I don’t watch it a ton but I‘m glad it exists.
