Not really sure I understand your apparent confusion internet friend.
Both are true: some kids are getting pushed into an education level not appropriate or beneficial for them and also some adults suffer burnout, and burnout is an accepted condition here.
Just don’t look at the numbers for burnout in the Netherlands.
Eh to be fair, part of that is because we can safely take time off to recover. Mostly.

Accepted maybe, but still not desirable. Just struck me as odd that you didn’t mention the same pressures applying to adults as a cause for burnout.
It’s a similar phenomenon for sure. Just a different setting and the young age makes people more vulnerable.
And of course you are right it is not at all desirable.
