    I am listening :)

Thank you for all the recommendations (though the one about the tributary mode of production… I read a criticism of that, but this is not really the place for me to criticize it, yes?). The Eurocentrism one sounds fascinating, though.

Oh ya that was hyperbole idk what my deal was with that, anyways. No by all means it’s good for a third of the audience to be put off by something to keep the conversation going, so if you disagree with a third of what I’m saying that’s beneficial.

A lot of the world systems stuff is arguing over what different terms mean I don’t like a great deal of it although I do recommend reading Braudel etc if you have the time lmao doorstoppers w that guy. I don’t agree with a lot of the structural takes about “historical capitalisms” with the whole crowd. But amin is worth investigating because following him around leads you to abt a billion underlooked antiimperialist organizations & he’s on the right side of most of those I looked at.

Like one weird example is Andre Gunder Frank’s contention that a world system has to be the entire world just because it’s called a world system. Rather than smaller interacting chunks that later become the global imperialist world system choking everyone to death etc etc brb
