The current administration would definitely try to provoke and likely fire on people with guns and then say that they fired first.

      LOL
Since forever people of the world have protested and rioted.
And this against regimes and ruthless dictators that make your orange look like a joke.
They 100% knew they would be shot at, maybe tortured if arrested.
They did it anyway, since they’re not absolute pussies and an embarrassment like your pathetic population.

Glad you’re finally admitting you’re cowards, not that we didn’t know already.

About every people on the planet that had to confront an authoritarian regime.
And did it, regardless of the sacrifice in lives because they weren’t weak docile worms like the banana republic dwellers

                So you’re also a coward?

I don’t feel the next to fly there and buy a gun and protest if that’s what it takes to not be a coward. Especially when that definition comes from another perpetually online coward…

I’m European, we have suffered enough because of the USSA.
They deserve to go to hell.
There is zero grounds to call me a coward just because I don’t want to rescue a dying shithole.
The world will be a much better place without it.
You can get frustrated and cry about that all you want.

I mean they showed up. Respect for that.

It takes some balls to know you may get shot and decide to go with a frog costume and a dildo.

Is it the most efficient way to conduct a protest, no. But also, fuck efficacy.

I do agree, but people showing up in frog costumes doesn’t stop people showing up with guns.

        Gatekeeping protests is stupid.

X people in frog costumes with dildos + Y people with guns is more effective than just Y people with guns. Probably much more effective, honestly, because it makes it harder to publicize it as just a violent mob.

who is actually coming with guns to this protest though?

also you know simply showing up armed is not immediately equals to effectiveness, right?

for instance, getting the frog people to block traffic in a busy commuting day would be effective.

There’ve been quite a few photos circulated of people with guns intermingled into the protests that have happened. It’s much more effective when it’s like, 1 in 100 vs. 100 in 100, though, in my opinion. It gets the point across. Personally, I’d prefer no guns on either side, but if we can’t have that, this is the next best option.

but then again, flaunting guns isn’t effective by itself. which point are you getting across?

I applaud the energy to want do something but people should consider whether they are spending their energy effectively.

All this did was give right wingers an incredibly easy punching bag and make the left look like absolute clowns. Doing literally nothing would have been better than this.

Well I disagree. I think ineffective protesting is better than no action.

Who cares what the right thinks.

If a person in a frog costume shows up at a protest I organize I would be fucking stocked.

Exactly. If someone does a thing Republicans don’t want done, they’ll attack, regardless. Might as well make it interesting and keep the attacks anonymous.

I mean, that army of frogs could be school kids or coworkers. Boys. Women. You don’t know. Facial and gait recognition aren’t going to be very effective. I love it!

(I googled and just found out a group of frogs is an ARMY! It’s perfect.)

          It’s actually considerably worse.

Non-acton means you retain the understanding that something still needs to be done and thus should be looking for an alternative to achieve the desired goal.

Performative action that is not materially effective has the effect of making one think that they did “something” so they don’t have to do anything else.

Action for the sake of action is just wasted energy. Do you spin your wheels in mud just because “it’s better to have done something” or do you look for an alternative that actually gets you out of the mud?

Who cares what the right thinks

The in-power government who’s successfully turning the nation rightwing, as they control the press. You know, the people with the guns, killing political opponents in the very same deathcamps in this article.

The very same one gifting a million dollars to a certified killer. There’s a reason why other nations are calling Americans Nazis, and you’re witnessing that praxis why.

Ineffective protest IS non action. Not so sure what rightwing propaganda you swallow that not having a demand met is more than nothing, when it literally amounts to naught. You are saying interpretative dances fix killers.
