There is a big divide between can and should. Just because you can. doesn’t mean you should. Grounding US war planes could potentially cause an enormous shit show that everybody would come to regret. Remember we’re dealing with a crazy guy here and standing up to him can potentially be dangerous or very bad for your economy, so people are rightfully cautious.
How about we applaud the move in the right direction, and focus on those that haven’t even take that step yet?

Yes? Countries can ground planes. That’s how airspace sovereignty works. This was a choice on Spain’s part.
