One of the “wars” the Piss President takes credit for ending is the Thai-Cambodia border conflict, a legacy of French colonialism. Still going on and slowly escalating. The US has promoted turmoil in Southeast Asia since the end of WW2 as a push against Chinese influence in the region. The UN/US pushed Thailand to accept Cambodian refugees during the Khmer Rouge regime, then abandoned them as a Thai problem after the Vietnamese toppled Pol Pot, making conflict almost inevitable.
